Step 2: Choose the format of the game
- Identify which format of the game you are most interested in (Test match, ODI, or T20).
- Familiarize yourself with the rules and restrictions for each format.
- Select a team to participate in the relevant tournament or league.
Step 3: Composing the team
- Familiarize yourself with the available players, their statistics, and characteristics.
- Depending on your budget and strategy, select the players for your team. Usually, fantasy cricket has a limit on the number of players from each category (batters, bowlers, all-rounders).
- Choose a captain and vice-captain, as their selection can affect the bonus points they receive for their performances.
- Make sure your team has a balanced number of players from each position (strikers, bowlers, all-rounders).
- Try to consider the form of the players, their current statistics, and upcoming matches.
Step 4: Set up a strategy
- Decide on a strategy for your team based on the tournament type and player roster.
- Decide how to balance risk and safety, such as investing in star players or building a team around reliable but less expensive players.
- Use trade or transfer opportunities to improve your team roster during the tournament.
Step 5: Join a tournament or league
- Once your team is formed, choose the league or tournament you want to participate in.
- Enter the tournament, monitor the ongoing matches and your players’ results.
- Get points based on your players’ real-life performance in matches.
Step 6: Analyze and optimize your team
- After each round of the tournament, analyze your players’ results and performance.
- Make transfers as needed, improving your team roster in response to changes in player form or unexpected circumstances.
- Revise strategies and select the best players for subsequent rounds.
Step 7: Summarize and Win
- After the tournament or league is over, tally up the points and results your team has earned.
- If your team placed high, congratulate yourself on your success!
- Use the experience you’ve gained to further improve your team in future tournaments.
